Wealth management firm Jarvis Investment Management has entered special administration following an order made by the High Court.
Adam Stephens and Philip Hemming of S&W Partners have been appointed as joint special administrators.
Jarvis Investment agreed to a voluntary requirement with the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) in September 2022, which restricted the activities it could undertake without FCA consent.
The special administrators are now managing the affairs, business and property of the company, and are working to reach the statutory objectives of the special administration and return client assets as soon as is feasible.
A redress programme that had previously been offered by Jarvis Investment until 23 December 2026 has been stopped due to the firm’s insolvency.
The special administrators will be writing to all those affected and are engaging with the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) to see whether any unpaid redress payments qualify for compensation.
“The special administrators will assess the money and assets held by Jarvis Investment,” the FCA stated.
“Then they will work to return the money and assets to clients where possible. The special administrators will decide how best to return client money and assets.
“If you’re a client of Jarvis Investment, the special administrators will write to you within eight weeks of appointment to explain how they plan to return client money and assets and how you can make a claim.”
