Citi Wealth has appointed Adam Clark as its global head of wealth planning.
Clark will join the firm in November following the completion of his gardening leave from J.P. Morgan, where he was global head of trusts and estates. Prior to his time at J.P. Morgan, where he worked for almost a decade, Clark spent seven years at Goldman Sachs, holding various senior leadership positions including head of its international strategic wealth advisory team. He has almost 30 years of experience in banking, spanning tax, estate, trust, and wealth planning. At Citi Wealth, he will lead the firm’s global wealth planning team, reporting to global head of investments, Keith Glenfield.
Clifton Asset Management (AM) has named Edward Ellis as its chief financial officer (CFO).
Ellis joined the firm in late July following the retirement of Ellis Organ after nearly 30 years with the business. Clifton AM owns financial planning and advice consolidator Clifton Wealth Partnership. Ellis most recently worked for Kingswood Group, which was acquired by Mattioli Woods, as its director of strategy, financial planning, and analysis. Prior to that, he worked at NatWest Group. He brings more than 12 years of experience in the financial services industry to his new role of CFO at Clifton AM.
Quilter Cheviot has announced a series of new hires to its business development teams.
Julian Stapleton and Chris Ashton have both joined as business development managers for the south region, where they will be responsible for supporting existing relationships with financial advisers and private clients, while also helping to position Quilter Cheviot’s products and services to prospective clients. Stapleton most recently spent 17 years at Rathbones, working in the sales team since 2015 and where he became business development director before departing at the end of 2024. Ashton also joins from Rathbones, where he was most recently lead business development executive for London and the south. Benjamin Johnson has also joined the team for the south as a business development executive, while Harry Forde and Aiden Campbell join in the same role covering the north. Johnson joins having held client support roles within a national independent financial advice firm, while Forde was previously at commodities insight firm Attara and Campbell moves to Quilter Cheviot from global professional services firm Marsh McLennan.
