People moves: Investment Association, Raymond James, and EV

The Investment Association (IA) has elected three new directors to its board of directors.

The board of directors oversees the IA’s activity and is made up of senior leaders from across the industry. Appointments to the board are typically for three-year terms, although members may seek re-election. The new directors elected to the board were NatWest CEO, private banking & wealth management, Emma Crystal; BNP Paribas Asset Management CEO, UK, Ouajnat Karim; and Schroders group chief executive, Richard Oldfield. They replace former Evelyn Partners chief executive, Paul Geddes, and Border to Coast CEO, Rachel Elwell, who have stepped down from the board.

Raymond James has appointed Anna Pollins as chief commercial officer.

The newly expanded role brings together several of the firm’s commercial, proposition, and growth capabilities. Pollins will have executive responsibility for a range of capabilities central to the firm's growth strategy, including the Raymond James platform business, business development, central financial planning, guidance services, Charles Stanley Direct and marketing. She has held a number of senior leadership positions within Raymond James and currently leads Wealth Management Services. Her experience spans wealth management, business development and strategic partnerships.

EV has announced the appointment of Jake Moeller as director, investment consulting.

Moeller joins EV from Titan Square Mile, where he was associate director, responsible investment and senior investment consultant. Earlier in his career, Moeller worked as a portfolio manager and served as a pension trustee. At EV, he will be responsible for supporting clients with the firm’s asset modelling capabilities. Moeller will work directly with clients, helping them apply this technology to portfolio construction, risk and retirement income requirements.
