People moves: Ocorian, St. James’s Place, and Isio

Global asset servicer Ocorian has appointed Craig Buick and Yegor Lanovenko as co-chief executive officers, subject to regulatory approval.

The appointments reflect a shake-up to the structure and personnel at the top of Ocorian, with former CEO, Chantal Free, leaving the firm. Buick joined Ocorian in 2024 as chief financial officer, while Lanovenko joined Ocorian in 2021 and has most recently co-led its Fund Services business. Ocorian said the appointment of co-CEOs reflected its commitment to continued global growth.

St. James’s Place (SJP) has named Rio Stedford as investment product strategy director.

Stedford will be responsible for driving the long-term product strategy of SJP’s investment division. She joins the firm with 15 years of experience in financial planning and wealth management, most recently holding senior positions at Finura and Quilter Cheviot. SJP said Stedford’s appointment represented the next phase of growth for its investment team, following the appointment of Lea Blinoff as director if investment solutions earlier this year and the expansion of its Polaris fund range.

Isio has promoted Ajith Nair, John McAleer and Samantha Coombes to partner.

The advisory firm said the promotions reinforced the depth of leadership across the business as it develops its advisory and investment capabilities. Nair is chief investment officer for Isio Investment Management and head of research. He has led Isio’s expansion into asset management, including the launch of its model portfolio solutions. McAleer is Scotland market lead and has been with the firm for six years, playing a key role in growing Isio’s presence in Scotland. Coombes is head of operational solutions, having founded and developed Isio’s Operational Solutions business.
