Wealth and asset management group Rathbones has launched a Responsible Investment Centre of Excellence, seeking to provide long-term value for clients across sustainability research, stewardship, and ESG integration.
The centre will operate across the group, consolidating its responsible investment capabilities into a single integrated function.
It will support Rathbones Asset Management investment strategies and the wider Rathbones wealth business, linking ESG expertise and portfolio outcomes, and improving the ability to identify long-term risks and opportunities.
The Centre of Excellence comprises 16 specialised structured across voting, stewardship and engagement; ethical and sustainable research; and ESG integration.
Stewardship and engagement will be strengthened through the centre’s work, coordinating and amplifying the group’s voice while reinforcing its commitment to be a responsible, active long-term investor.
The centre consolidates Rathbones’ ethical and sustainable research offerings to provide greater visibility of responsible investment activity to ensure sustainability insights are available to support investment decisions.
Rathbones said it was aiming to enable better client outcomes to support its purpose ‘to help more clients invest their money well, so they can live well’.
The wealth manager stated that the centre also underscored its commitment to responsible and sustainable investing while creating a platform for innovation.
