Marsh has appointed Phil Parkinson as chief executive officer (CEO) of Mercer UK.
The appointment is subject to regulatory approval, with Parkinson expected to take up his new role in the “coming weeks”. As CEO, Parkinson will lead the strategic development and execution of Mercer UK's commercial strategy, which encompasses its health and benefits, investments and retirement, and workforce and rewards businesses. He succeeds Benoit Hudon, who is leaving the business to pursue other opportunities. Parkinson joined Mercer in 2007 and was appointed as UK wealth business leader in 2022. He began his career at Mercer as an investment consultant in London.
TrinityBridge has appointed Tom Miller as head of bespoke investment management.
Miller will be based in the firm’s new London headquarters, bringing over two decades of experience in financial planning and wealth management. In his new role, Miller will lead TrinityBridge’s team of investment managers. He joins the firm from RBC Brewin Dolphin, where he was most recently the regional head for the south-west and Wales. Prior to this, he served as head of the Bristol and Cheltenham offices, having joined the company in 2012 as a financial planner. Before joining RBC Brewin Dolphin, Miller was a financial planner at Hargreaves Lansdown for six years.
Osmosis Investment Management has named Mark Hardiman as chief financial officer (CFO).
Hardiman brings more than 20 years of senior leadership experience to the role, having previously held roles at Aberdeen, HSBC Asset Management, and BNY Mellon. Most recently, Hardiman served as finance director at Cinven, and was also previously CFO of the Investments division at Aberdeen. He specialises in transforming finance functions, strengthening governance, and supporting strategic decision making in global investment businesses.
