Schroders has appointed Patrick Schwyzer as head of client group, Europe.
Schwyzer joins the firm from UBS and will lead the execution of Schroders’ European client strategy, focusing on meeting the investment needs of clients across the region. He brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, and will work with the firm’s country heads to strengthen its presence across wealth, wholesale, and institutional segments. Schwyzer brings expertise across private banking and asset management, most recently serving as Credit Suisse (Luxembourg), now UBS, chief executive officer.
WTW has named Sophia Sednaoui as a senior director in its GB Wealth & Retail Investments team.
Sednaoui brings nearly a decade of experience leading investment management teams in the UK wealth market to the role. Prior to joining WTW, she was head of investor relations at CG Asset Management after more than six years at Carmignac, where she held several senior positions including business development director for the UK intermediary and institutional channels. At WTW, Sednaoui will focus on expanding the firm’s presence in the UK wealth market, and be responsible for building new relationships across the sector and helping WTW connect its capabilities with a wider range of firms and investors.
Hoxton Wealth has appointed Rob Aberdein as general counsel and director of legal & strategic growth.
The advisory firm is looking to build a global personal legal services capability within the group. Aberdein takes up the newly created board-level role to lead the development of several connected regulated legal businesses designed to operate across multiple jurisdictions. He joins Hoxton Wealth from Progeny, where he was chief commercial officer. Aberdein also previously founded and led Moray Group, growing the business before it was acquired by Progeny.
