WBS and Aviva extend partnership to deliver services for advised and direct platforms

WBS has extended its partnership with Aviva for an additional five-year period to provide dealing and custody services for UK-listed equities and ETFs via its advised and direct platforms.

The firms have been working together since 2011, and since 2017 on the advised elements of the Aviva platform.

In 2023, the companies also collaborated to deliver a new direct share dealing service for Aviva’s clients to enable them to invest in UK-listed equities and ETFs through stocks and shares ISAs and general investment accounts.

"We've been working alongside Aviva for over 15 years, so this extension feels like a natural next step - one that reflects the strength of our relationship,” WBS chief commercial officer, Thomas Lowe.

“It is built on a long-term, mutual understanding of what advisers and platforms need from their technology infrastructure, and we are very pleased to have been chosen to deliver it."

Aviva director of platforms and propositions, Mike Hogg, added: “WBS is a reliable long-term partner for Aviva, consistently delivering against our service expectations while supporting our plans to extend our propositions and price competitively.”
