The Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association (PIMFA) has appointed Brooks Macdonald CEO, Andrea Montague, to its board of directors.
Montague has been CEO at Brooks Macdonald since October 2024, having initially joined the company in August 2023 as CFO.
Her previous roles include group chief risk officer and group chief financial vontroller at Aviva. Prior to that, Montague held senior leadership roles including deputy group CFO at Royal London and group chief internal auditor at Standard Life.
PIMFA, the trade association representing the wealth management, financial advice, and financial planning profession, said the main responsibilities of the PIMFA board include overseeing the approach to be taken by the organisation, in relation to its advocacy and external relations.
Montague commented: “After being a member and working in the long-term saving and wealth management sector for all of my career, I was pleased to be asked to join the PIMFA board. I look forward to representing the views of the sector and working with the chair and fellow board members.”
PIMFA’s chief executive, Liz Field, added: “I am delighted that Andrea Montague has agreed to join the PIMFA board bringing both a wealth of experience and knowledge across the UK long-term savings and asset management sector. The PIMFA chair and the current board members look forward to working with her.”
