HSBC UK Private Bank has opened a new wealth centre in Leeds, building on the launch of the first HSBC UK wealth centre in London in July.
The new centre will enable its relationship teams to offer bespoke wealth management services for Private Banking and Wealth clients in Yorkshire and the north east.
HSBC said the expansion complemented its other regional spaces in Manchester and Birmingham, which serve clients in the north west and midlands respectively.
The opening of the Leeds wealth centre follows several years of record growth for HSBC’s UK Private Bank regional business, with revenues rising by over 300 per cent over the past five years.
It has opened at the same time as HSBC UK Private Bank expands with three new appointments.
Gareth Morgans and Marcus Himsworth both join the firm from UBS as an investment adviser and relationship manager respectively, while Stephen Wright joins from its Corporate Banking business as a business development manager.
Commenting on the new wealth centre, HSBC UK head of private banking, Charles Boulton, said: “We’re delighted to open our second UK wealth centre as we continue to drive the expansion of our Wealth and Private Banking business in the UK.
“HSBC has an established presence in Yorkshire and across the regions and is known as the private bank of choice for business owners seeking to exit or transition their business.”
HSBC UK HNWI north and midlands regional head, Rebecca Boardman, added: “Yorkshire is a thriving hub for entrepreneurs, high net worth individuals and families looking for bespoke financial solutions.
“Opening a new office in Leeds allows us to be even more accessible and geographically closer to our clients. Sustained success over the years has confirmed the continued need for personalised wealth management, investment advice and estate planning solutions.
“With the regions continuing to be a fast-growing area of the UK Private Banking business, I’m delighted to strengthen our presence in the UK market.”
