People moves: Barclays, Skybound Wealth, and Ocorian

Barclays has announced two senior appointments within its Private Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM) UK and Crown Dependencies businesses.

Sid Azad will join the firm as head of mass affluent and growth, where he will be responsible for the leading the unified mass affluent franchise. He brings more than 20 years of experience in global financial services to the role. Most recently, he was a partner at McKinsey & Company, where he co-led the European wealth & asset management practice. Meanwhile, Nick May will succeed Paul Savery as head of Crown Dependencies and join the PBWM leadership team in November, once Savery retires. May rejoined Barclays in August 2024 and currently serves as global head of the fiduciaries business. He previously worked at HSBC, with senior roles including head of Europe and international, and head of Channel Islands private banking.

Skybound Wealth has appointed private wealth adviser and former footballer Jamie Proctor to its Athletes & Creators division.

Proctor joins as the first private wealth adviser in the firm’s newly launched Athletes & Creators arm. He spent almost 20 years as a professional footballer, competing at every level of the English Football League pyramid. He’s now a qualified financial planner and has specialist certifications in investment management and mortgage advice. Skybound Wealth said Proctor’s blend of lived experience and financial expertise meant he was perfectly placed to guide athletes and creators.

Ocorian has appointed Lindsay Ozanne as a non-executive director in Guernsey.

Ozanne brings leadership experience from senior roles in the trust and fiduciary sector, including as managing director at Butterfield Trust (Guernsey) and senior positions at RBC Wealth Management. She has a background in governance, regulatory compliance, and client service, delivering fiduciary solutions for high net worth individuals and families. Ozanne has more than 30 years of experience in the private client sector.
