Evelyn Partners has appointed Alex Gersh as its new chief financial officer (CFO) and an executive director.
Gersh will join the wealth management firm at the end of April, subject to regulatory approval, and work with interim CFO, Scott Kirk, on the handover. He replaces Andrew Baddeley, who had been group CFO since 2018 and became S&W CFO following the completion of the sale of Evelyn Partners’ former professional services business. Gersh brings more than 30 years of experience in financial management to the role, having previously worked in senior leadership positions at both private equity-backed and public companies across the UK and the US. Most recently, he was CFO of the New York Stock Exchange-listed global payments business Paysafe.
Raymond James Wealth Management (RJWM) and Charles Stanley & Co have announced that Kim Jenson has been appointed as interim CEO.
Jenson’s appointment follows former CEO, Paul Abberley, stepping down, and she will assume immediate responsibility for overseeing the Raymond James UK wealth management business while an external search for a permanent CEO is underway. Peter Moores remains CEO of Raymond James Investment Services (RJIS). Jenson joins from Raymond James Financial in the US where she was chief operating officer for Raymond James’ US Private Client Group. She being more than 40 years of experience to the role, previously working for UBS Wealth Management and Piper Jaffray (now Piper Sandler).
Mattioli Woods has named Peter Mann as non-executive director, subject to regulatory approvals.
Mann has decades of experience in wealth management, financial planning, business development. His previous roles include vice chair at Old Mutual Wealth and chief executive of Skandia UK. The appointment was made after Anne Gunther stepped down from her position as independent non-executive director, holding the roles of non-executive chair, senior independent director, and various chair positions for audit, risk, nominations and remuneration committees.
