People moves: Rothschild & Co, Bankers Investment Trust, and J O Hambro

Rothschild & Co has made two senior front office appointments in its UK wealth management business.

Peter Hindle has been named as the new head of private client teams. He was previously head of UK regions for Rothschild & Co Wealth Management. Hindle will be responsible for managing the UK wealth management client teams and developing the next generation of client advisers. Chris Oliver has been appointed as head of client strategy and execution, joining from UBS where he spent 15 years. He will be responsible for helping grow the business to ensure best outcomes for clients and oversee other key aspects of the front office including support, wealth solutions, and front office operations, as well as marketing and business development. Hindle and Oliver will be jointly responsible for leading Rothschild & Co’s UK wealth management front office and become members of the Management Committee.

The board of The Bankers Investment Trust has appointed Richard Clode as co-fund manager of the company’s portfolio.

Clode will work as co-fund manager alongside Alex Crooke, who has managed the portfolio since 2003. He will also assume management of the company’s North American portfolio from 31 October 2025. Clode joined Janus Henderson as a portfolio manager in 2014 and brings “significant expertise” to the role, especially in the technology sector. He has 22 years of investment experience, having started his career at Herald Investment Trust where he was a portfolio manager, and later held roles at Gartmore, Moore Capital and Pioneer Investments.

J O Hambro Capital Management (JOHCM) has named Bill Street as its new chief executive officer (CEO).

The appointment, which is subject to regulatory approval, is part of a new group strategy from JOHCM’s parent company Perpetual Limited. Street brings more than 34 years of investment management experience to the role. His career spans leadership and advisory roles across all asset classes and multi-asset strategies for firms including State Street Global Advisors, PwC, Quintet Private Bank, Unicredito, and J.P. Morgan. Clare Forster will remain at the firm on the Executive Committee, supporting Street in his transition to CEO, and she will continue to serve on her existing Group Entity Board roles.
