Guernsey-based Arolla Partners has launched a fiduciary consultancy service for family offices, multi-family offices, and fiduciary service providers.
The new service will be led by Simon Sharrott, who recently joined Arolla, and will aim to provide family offices and fiduciary providers with independent expertise in managing their fiduciary duties and improving their oversight of assets under administration.
Sharrott is a Guernsey-based investment professional with more than 20 years of offshore industry experience, spanning fund management, portfolio management, wealth management, and private equity.
He most recently served as joint managing director and group CEO at MitonOptimal Portfolio Management, prior to its acquisition by the Ravenscroft Group in 2022, after which he continued with Ravencroft until 2024 as director and portfolio manager.
Sharrott currently serves as a non-executive director on the boards of several Guernsey-regulated investment vehicles and sits on a range of multi-jurisdictional investment management committees.
Arolla’s new service line will look to provide independent analysis, process enhancement, and cost transparency to enable fiduciary providers to strengthen oversight, reduce administrative burden, and achieve greater efficiency.
“I am delighted to have joined Arolla earlier this year and be able to launch this new offering which complements my current activities, at a time when investment scrutiny and oversight have never been more important,” Sharrott commented.
“Fiduciary service providers and family offices face increasing complexity in fulfilling their duties, and our independent, expert approach will give them confidence in both their processes and the value they deliver to clients.”
Arolla chair, Andreas Tautscher, added: “Simon’s appointment marks an important step in the continued growth of our business.
“His deep experience and leadership will ensure that our new service line delivers the independence, clarity and practical guidance our clients need to navigate their fiduciary responsibilities with confidence.”
