Wealth management firm Bentley Reid has appointed Kevin Andrews as chief operating officer.

Andrews joined Bentley Reid as head of IT and operations in December 2023. Prior to joining the firm, Andrews spent five years at Arbuthnot Latham, most recently as senior platform lead, digital channels. He also worked for C. Hoare & Co. as a senior project manager. Bentley Reid said that, since joining the firm, Andrews had led on driving enterprise-wide transformation and shaping the firm’s operational strategy.

Quilter Cheviot has named Joseph Hill as fund research analyst.

Hill has joined Quilter Cheviot as a fund research analyst from Hargreaves Lansdown where he was a senior investment analyst, having progressed through various roles since joining as an investment graduate in 2017. He will report to Quilter Cheviot head of investment fund research, Matt Ennion, and will have responsibility for several areas of coverage, including UK equity. The appointment brings Quilter Cheviot’s collectives research team up to nine members.

Sparrows Capital has appointed Gareth Perry as business development manager.

The appointment marks the firm’s fifth hire for its business development team over the past 12 months, with the expansion coming as Sparrows Capital looks to develop SCore, its MPS proposition. Perry brings over a decade of financial services experience to the role. He joins from TIME Investments, where he served as a senior business development manager for the South West and Northern Ireland regions, specialising in inheritance tax planning education for advisers. Prior to this, Perry held a senior role at Seven Investment Management (7IM).
